Care Guide
Every Blacksunset shirt is garment-dyed as a finished piece. That creates the soft, broken-in feel and subtle color variation. Follow these guidelines so your shirt ages beautifully.
Washing
- Wash cold, 30 C / 90 F maximum.
- Turn the shirt inside out to protect the print.
- Wash with similar colors, especially for the first 2-3 washes.
- Some excess dye in the first wash is normal.
- Avoid bleach and harsh detergents.
- Use a gentle cycle.
Drying
- Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.
- Remove promptly to reduce wrinkles.
- High heat can shrink garment-dyed cotton.
- Do not wring or twist.
Ironing
- Iron on low heat.
- Do not iron directly over the print. Iron inside out or use a cloth between the iron and print.
- Avoid steaming the print area directly.
Print care
- The design is printed using direct-to-garment technology.
- The print bonds with the cotton fibers and softens over time.
- Washing inside out significantly extends print life.
- Avoid dry cleaning.
What to expect
- Slight color variations are part of the character of garment-dyed shirts.
